Snowdon Flood Design

I never win anything but I became a Facebook fan of Snowdon Flood Design through a friend of mine suggesting it. Well I loved her stuff and I got lucky. My name was picked out of a hat (an olive green beret so I’m told) and I got to choose between 2 beautiful aprons from her new collection.

I picked the “Extremely Nice” orange apron which came in the post last week. The quality was exceptional and I felt like a right culinary artist as myself and my children got out the bowls, sieve flour, coco and so forth to begin a cookie baking quest. Unfortunately one set of cookies burnt and the others tasted of floor but I still looked fabulous drifting around my kitchen giving orders to my 4 and 2 year old. Snowdon Flood, designs beautiful things such as cups and glasses, plates and trays, cushions, tea-towels and of course aprons. She is constantly developing new ideas inspired by famous London landmarks such as my favourite Battersea Power Station to old-fashioned funfair signage in her new designs. All her bone china ceramics and glass are made in Stoke-on-Trent so supporting traditional skills.  A lot can be said for that.  I dream of eating my dinner off a Battersea Power Station dinner plate and drinking a big mug of tea from my Extremely Nice Mug. Hmm lovely.
